Vortek™ Post Mount NG/LP bolts to a post or column with a 3.5 in square plate. 11,000 BTU, 23 in tall. The Hollywood Series Post Mount adds remote capable ignition.

Gas pressure requirements on the Vortek and Hollywood Series torches are 3.5 in W.C. for natural gas and 11 in W.C. for propane. Electronic ignitions run on 24VAC and include a transformer. Gas lines are not included. Made to order Torrent and Tempo units cannot be cancelled or refunded after 72 hours.

Permanent installation, simple operation

Vortek and Hollywood Series torches are built for permanent gas installation: 3.5 in W.C. on natural gas or 11 in W.C. on propane. Gas lines are not included. Electronic ignition units ship with a 24VAC transformer, and the self sensing burner on the Hollywood Series Wall Mount reignites on its own if it is ever blown out.

Marine grade construction is available on request for coastal, oceanfront and yacht installations.

Propane without the plumbing

Not ready for a gas line? The Vortek™ Propane Slipcover Torch runs on a standard propane tank hidden inside a 40 hour slipcover, and the Torrent™ Stand-Alone delivers a 50,000 BTU/hr vortex flame from a 20 lb tank with no permanent installation. Bolt together, install the glass, connect the tank and light.

Natural gas or propane, which should I choose?

Both are available on every model. Natural gas suits a home or venue that already has a supply line; propane suits sites without one. The Vortek and Hollywood Series burners need 3.5 in W.C. on natural gas or 11 in W.C. on propane. Gas lines are not included and a permanent installation is required, except for the Torrent Stand-Alone and the Vortek Propane Slipcover, which run from a tank.
What ignition options are there?

Depending on the model: match light, push button spark ignition, or electronic ignition. Electronic ignition runs on 24VAC and the transformer is included. Hollywood Series electronic units can be connected to a wireless remote switch or a smart switch. On the Torrent Tower, electronic ignition adds automatic flame sensing and restart.
How long does it take to build?

Torches are built to order in the USA. Vortek gas torches and the Torrent Stand-Alone typically ship in 4 to 6 weeks. Hollywood Series, Torrent Wall Mount, Torrent Tower and Tempo typically ship in 6 to 8 weeks. Holidays and seasonal demand can affect production. Made to order Torrent and Tempo units cannot be cancelled or refunded after 72 hours.
What is the warranty?

Gas torches carry a limited warranty that varies by product. Vortek Tall NG/LP carries a 2 year limited warranty on construction. Torrent Wall Mount and Tempo carry 5 year limited warranties, with electronic ignitions on Tempo covered for 1 year and consumables such as thermocouples and igniters excluded. Torrent Tower and Torrent Stand-Alone carry a lifetime limited warranty against defects in construction. Finishes are not covered because climates vary. See each product page for the exact terms.
Can I install one near the coast?

Yes. Marine grade construction is available on request for coastal, oceanfront and yacht installations. Standard construction uses powder coated aluminum, galvanized and stainless steel.
What clearances do I need?

Keep torches at least 6 ft from combustibles and from each other. The Torrent Stand-Alone needs 2 ft lateral and 3 ft overhead clearance. Local fire and burn restrictions apply, and torches are for outdoor use only. Read the torch safety page before installing.
Can I get a cut sheet or a custom size?

PDF cut sheets are available for the Hollywood Series Tall, Vortek Tall and Tempo. Custom colours, self rectifying timer ignitions, pedestals and one-off designs are quoted on request. Email sales@halofiretorch.com or call (727) 739-8447.
