The Halo Pit™ is a bold evolution of outdoor fire—combining a powerful central fire tornado with a surrounding ring of natural flame. The result is a dramatic, multi-layered fire feature that commands attention and transforms any outdoor space into a true destination.

At the center, a vertical vortex flame can spiral to over three feet tall, while the outer ring delivers a wide, balanced perimeter of fire. It’s not just a fire pit—it’s kinetic fire architecture and an instant conversation starter.

Installation and gas requirements

Designed for permanent natural gas or propane installation by a qualified installer. Vortek and Hollywood Series burners need 3.5 in W.C. on natural gas or 11 in W.C. on propane. Gas lines are not included. Electronic ignition units run on 24VAC and ship with a transformer. Hollywood Series electronic units can be connected to a wireless remote switch or a smart switch. The Torrent Stand-Alone and Vortek Propane Slipcover run from a propane tank with no permanent installation.

Lead time and made to order policy

Every gas torch is built, assembled and tested in the United States. Vortek gas torches and the Torrent Stand-Alone typically ship in 4 to 6 weeks. Hollywood Series, Torrent Wall Mount, Torrent Tower and Tempo typically ship in 6 to 8 weeks. Parts are stocked ahead of time; the lead time covers assembly, powder coat and ignition installation. Holidays and seasonal demand can affect production. Made to order Torrent and Tempo units cannot be cancelled or refunded after 72 hours of placing an order.

Warranty

Gas torches carry a limited warranty that varies by product. Vortek Tall NG/LP: 2 year limited warranty on construction. Torrent Wall Mount and Tempo: 5 year limited warranty, with electronic ignitions on Tempo covered for 1 year; consumables such as thermocouples, glow igniters and heat sensors are excluded. Torrent Tower and Torrent Stand-Alone: lifetime limited warranty against defects in construction. Finishes are not covered because climates vary. Marine grade construction is available on request for coastal, oceanfront and yacht installations.

Safety and clearances

Outdoor use only. Keep torches at least 6 ft from combustibles and from each other; the Torrent Stand-Alone needs 2 ft lateral and 3 ft overhead clearance. Never leave a burning torch unattended. Local fire and burn restrictions may apply. Read the torch safety page before installing. California Prop 65 warning applies, see the safety page.

Permanent installation, simple operation

Vortek and Hollywood Series torches are built for permanent gas installation: 3.5 in W.C. on natural gas or 11 in W.C. on propane. Electronic ignition units ship with a 24VAC transformer, and the self sensing burner on the Hollywood Series Wall Mount reignites on its own if it is ever blown out.

Marine grade construction is available on request for coastal, oceanfront and yacht installations.

Gas torch questions

Natural gas or propane, which should I choose?

Both are available on every model. Natural gas suits a home or venue that already has a supply line; propane suits sites without one. The Vortek and Hollywood Series burners need 3.5 in W.C. on natural gas or 11 in W.C. on propane. Gas lines are not included and a permanent installation is required, except for the Torrent Stand-Alone and the Vortek Propane Slipcover, which run from a tank.
What ignition options are there?

Depending on the model: match light, push button spark ignition, or electronic ignition. Electronic ignition runs on 24VAC and the transformer is included. Hollywood Series electronic units can be connected to a wireless remote switch or a smart switch. On the Torrent Tower, electronic ignition adds automatic flame sensing and restart.
